Never underestimate the cleverness and ingenuity of gnomes.
Development of specialized weapons and technologies are necessary to maintain an edge over the enemies of Kul Tiras. The Navy and Marines have always maintained close ties with the people of Gnomeregan ever since the Second War where many Kul Tiran fleets were protected by brave gnomish submariners.
A fairly large population of Gnomes decided to make Kul Tiras their home after the Second War and the eventual irradiation of Gnomeregan by the traitor Thermaplugg. Many have continued their sea-fairing ways as part of the Marine Corps of Engineers, providing infrastructure support to the nation of Kul Tiras and helping to support and sustain the edge of it's Navy over that of all other nations on Azeroth.
Many of the gnomes who had been an important part of Kul Tiras' engineering community have gone missing in recent times - our engineers believe it may be related to the scrap yard in southern Tiragarde Sound, where the sigil of the Marine Corps of Engineers can be found among some of the discarded machinery.
Proudmoore Academy Naval Technology Seminar (P.A.N.T.S.)
A collaborative effort between the Proudmoore Academy and the Marine Corps of Engineers, P.A.N.T.S. seeks to educate mainlanders and Kul Tiran civilians alike on the wonders of Kul Tiran shipbuilding and shipboard operations.
Curated by Chief Engineer Dr. Franz Von Fizzlevolt and other MEC staff, the seminars include a tour of an impressive Kul Tiran battleship, whereby attendees learn how crew and ship come together in perfect harmony for the destruction of enemy and criminal naval forces.
