I. Foreword from the Editor
The events discussed in this tome have been reviewed and vetted for historical accuracy through extensive review of authentic documentation and vetting from scholars across the whole of Azeroth. Any other interpretations of the events discussed in this record should be scrutinized and dissected by all discerning readers.
Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it. From this we must accept the failings of Lady Jaina Proudmoore and those who prescribed to her pacifist philosophy, those who failed to learn from the Orc's history of savagery, barbarism and genocidal bloodlust. The Grand Admiral has often been accused to have been stuck in the past, but this editor would argue that a better characterization would be that he was a well learned man, and he understood the true nature of the beasts who invaded our world. Furthermore, he understood that the only way to ensure the survival of human civilization and our allies was to purge the invasive species from our world and rebuild our nations to their former glory and might which they enjoyed prior to the opening of the Dark Portal by forces loyal to the Burning Legion.
((OOC NOTE: If you're wanting to create a backstory for your Marine, I recommend checking out the history on The Fifth Fleet of Kul Tiras to see the backstory of the guild itself. If you're considering making a backstory for an Undying Marine (Forsaken), check out the history on The Third Fleet of Kul Tiras and the destruction of Tiragarde Keep and Theramore. ~ Nearo ))
