Proudmoore Academy - the academic wing of the guild devoted to training the next generation of Marines as well as expanding knowledge of the Natural and Mystical worlds.
The civilian wing of the guild centers on civilian staff of the Proudmoore Academy not enlisted as military personnel, but who still provide support in the administrative and training efforts of the Proudmoore Academy.
* Distrust towards some Night Elves (suspected of involvement in Lt. Alverold's expedition going missing during the Third War)
While sentiments among some Marines have begun to change with the aid extended to Kul Tiras by the Alliance to resist the coup attempt by House Ashvane, some Marines are still distrustful against Night Elves (especially their leadership) because they are suspected of involvement in the disappearance of Lieutenant Alverold's expedition around the coast of Kalimdor during the Third War.
Jaina Proudmoore was previously viewed as a traitor for her role in Grand Admiral Daelin Proudmoore's death, however with Katheirne Proudmoore abdicating the position of Lord Admiral to her daughter Jaina after Lady Proudmoore rescued the Kul Tiran fleet from Lord Stormsong and Lady Azshara's magical imprisonment in an ethereal storm, many have had to accept that times are changing, and we must still fulfill our duty in the face of Horde aggression on our homeland. Despite swearing fealty to House Proudmoore, many individual Marines and Sailors may still not have full confidence in her leadership due to her history of exercising poor judgment.
Proudmoore Academy RP Culture
The following are prominent in Proudmoore Academy RP:
* Varied and more "Open-Ended" type RP to promote Boralus as an RP hub.
* Loyalty and respect for Kul Tiras and the Proudmoore Admiralty.
* Academic culture with an interest in the success of the Navy and the Marines.
* Close ties to other Alliance nations through the exchange of people and ideas.
Guild History & Culture
The veterans of the guild have been RP-PvP'ing together since the days of Ultima Online (released 1997 - yes we're old), and have been finding new friends through the years, always on the lookout for more fun people to share our gaming experience with!
We tend to be an older crowd, very mixed ethnic, religious & national backgrounds from both genders and many working professionals in their 30's in senior guild positions. We also have a growing number of younger members who have joined in more recent times.
Our Discord tends to be "colorfully offensive" with plenty of fun-spirited profanity and not-serious insults tossed back and forth amongst old friends in the guild, but never with malicious intent. Thick skin is strongly advised, overly sensitive types may find it is not a good fit for them.
We are always on the lookout to add to our group of friends and are very friendly with newcomers - we'll try out best to make you feel at home in a small guild where everyone pretty much knows everyone else.
We moved to Emerald Dream during the second half of Legion and are recruiting!
